Personal Profile

Our optometrist is Mihiri Jayasundera, who has two decades of experience in the field of optometry. She is a graduate of the University of Auckland. Mihiri is an honarary teaching fellow affiliated with the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Auckland. Spex For You provides teaching services for the University of Auckland’s School of Optometry and Vision Science for their Bachelor of Optometry degree.
Mihiri is therapeutically qualified through the Australian College of Optometry and is a board authorised glaucoma prescriber. Mihiri is able to prescribe medications to assist you with ocular pathology.
Mihiri will ensure you have a thorough eye examination, with an explanation of your prescription and eye health status, before supplying optical treatments and products. She is a member of the New Zealand Association of Optometrists and Cornea and Contact lens society.
